No commentary necessary.
No justice. No peace.
34 people were shot in Chicago on july 4, including a 5 year old and a 7 year old and not a fuckin peep, but now you people care?
Because the media tells them when to care. The people who jump up and down and scream are often the ones who make little to no difference.
Look, I don’t know where the fuck y’all have been, but folks round my way have been outraged about Trayvon, all them children murdered in Chicago and so much more for fucking YEARS. We have been screaming about this for fucking YEARS. That tweet up there, it ain’t just about Trayvon. It ain’t just about Zimmerman walking out of that courtroom like ain’t a damn thing happen. It’s about every single thing that has happened before and since that moment. It’s about Oscar Grant, Marissa Alexander, and Cece McDonald. It’s about Rekia Boyd, Sean Bell, Kimani Gray, and every other Black person in this country who has been unjustly killed or jailed.
We have been speaking about this, yelling at the tops of our god damn lungs, for fucking YEARS but not a damn soul wanted to listen to us. Just because the media and a few other folks decided to hop on the god damn bandwagon this one fucking time, that doesn’t mean that we haven’t been discussing every other unjust death in this fucked up ass country. What it means is you haven’t been paying close fucking attention.
Next time, instead of using the bodies of murdered children as a soapbox to stand on, sit your ass down and actually listen to us. You might learn something.
